Thorpe Primary had a special visit from Helen Turton who spoke to Year 2 children about her expeditions to both the North Pole, and the South Pole.

Helen brought in pictures, maps and some of the equipment she needed to take on each expedition. Helen shared her experiences of how to survive, and she also brought along her sled full of equipment and clothing. The children had a chance to explore and try on clothing and be explorer themselves.  

The children had a fantastic afternoon with Helen.
