Equality & Diversity

The Trust has adopted the following definitions of Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism: 

Islamophobia: “Fear of and/or prejudice against Muslims or perceived Muslimness whether be it due to expression or otherwise of their religion. Direct or indirect act(s) of discrimination against Muslims either on individual basis or as a community due to their religion.”

 

Anti-Semitism: “A certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.”
